What does the free MOT check show?+
Enter a UK registration and CarSussed checks the connected official vehicle data. The free result shows the available official vehicle facts, full MOT history, recorded defects and MOT mileage history. Missing optional facts are simply left out. The £9.99 full report adds the wider paid-history checks, valuation, model-specific analysis and the CarSussed BUY / NEGOTIATE / CAUTION / WALK AWAY verdict, plus personalised seller questions, negotiation guidance and an action plan.
Is CarSussed an HPI/provenance check?+
CarSussed is broader buyer-decision support. The report includes licensed provenance results and only marks finance, stolen, write-off and similar checks as confirmed when the connected provider actually returned the result.
Does a BUY verdict guarantee the car is mechanically good?+
No. A remote report cannot replace a physical inspection. BUY means the available evidence makes the car a strong candidate, subject to identity, documents, condition and test-drive verification.
Why show “Needs live check” instead of just leaving a section out?+
Because missing provenance is itself important to a buyer. CarSussed is deliberately designed to distinguish confirmed evidence from unknowns so the user can see exactly what still needs verifying.
Can I check a car advertised on Auto Trader?+
Yes. Paste the advert link and CarSussed will ask for the registration, advertised price and mileage it cannot collect from the page. The vehicle is then assessed using CarSussed's independent connected data rather than requiring an Auto Trader connection.
Where do the offer figures come from?+
CarSussed starts with the connected derivative- and mileage-based valuation range, then considers the asking price and evidence-led repair or uncertainty risk. If no live valuation is returned, the report labels the figures as negotiation cues rather than a market valuation.
Can I save the report for the viewing?+
Yes. Choose “Save on this device” after the report is built, or print/save it as a PDF. CarSussed does not store a device copy unless you ask it to. Clearing browser storage may remove a saved copy.
